You might be wondering why I haven't added any new reviews lately. Well, to be honest, I haven't written any reviews recently that warrant inclusion on this site. Yes, I've been writing reviews (see Stylus Magazine), but they have been for mediocre (at best) albums. This site is dedicated to top-of-the-line electronic music, and I refuse to add anything that doesn't meet my own standards. Now, I've recently purchased some fantastic electronic music, and as soon as I write reviews for it, I'll add them here. The reason I haven't written these reviews yet is my newly created Listening to Almaty site dedicated to the music of Central Asia. Because I've been writing reviews for that site, I haven't had as much time to focus on electronic music.
My goal in the next month or so is to write at least one electronic and one Central Asian review each week. The CA reviews will all show up on Listening to Almaty (regardless of quality). The reviews of great electronic albums will appear on 25.

I recently returned from a 10-day vacation to Michigan. Yes, I vacationed in America's wonderland: Detroit. No, actually I was north of Detroit, at my wife's family's cottage near the tiny town of Port Huron. The cottage was wonderful: cool weather, beautiful scenery, and no computers (and few TVs or phones) anywhere. The best part, however, was the fact that I returned exactly six days before the great blackout. Take that, energy nazis!
